The first outing for my new lipstick, and also the first time for sharing a treasured item with you. 

The alligator clutch bag was brought back from Africa by my dad's dad, a squadron leader in the 2nd world war, who collected unusual pieces from places he visited. A rare piece which always attracts a lot of attention. It is something I would have never bought and don't believe in, but it holds a lot of history, and is therefore very special.

little THINGS.

Little things that mean A LOT.

1. earings- belonged to my dad's mother.
2. 4711 Cologne- gift from my mum on a trip to Cologne.
Viktor and Rolf flowerbomb perfume- gift from my bf- (I have the   oil too in a huge glass bottle- amazing, also my favourite scent)


3. rings- stacked on the long neck of a brass bird,(vintage find )
4. Blackpool tower paperweight- from an old auntie who used to holiday there in her youth.
5. glasses- various new and vintage/ belonged to my mum)
6. Cut glass lamp- belonged to my great grandma.

chloe summer with a sprinkle of autumn/winter?

Trying to embrace the summer styles for as long as possible. It seems a struggle as autumn winter fashions continue to call my name- I mean who hasn't fallen in love with lots of pieces already? My wishlist seems to be never ending, but I will try to purchase wisely!
 I dug out my spring mags and fell back in love with Chloes denim looks for Summer. I just couldn't decide if I should wear the shirt in or out? 
The pleated trench reminds me a lot of one of the Chloe a/w RTW 2010 outfits worn with sleek hair, mary janes and a simple ribbon at the neck... I will be giving this a whirl sometime over autumn!

Searching for my next special purchase.....something completely 'timeless' and 'classic', if only I could stretch to the incredible Celine seen above. It would last a lifetime, and I would hope become a family heirloom passed down through generations- could you imagine? Celine, Mulberry and Chanel are top of my wishlist... in that order.... Im not sure whats happening but i'm feeling a little Chanel classic 2.55 overload?

5 inch heels in a field full of fireworks.

Last night spent at a special birthday party- over 500 guests, a field in the remote countryside, a good d.j, and catching up with friends. (resembling a small scale private festival) The evening was topped off with an absolutely spectacular firework display.(with accompanying music- a la Top Gun, take my breath away- Berlin to name a few!) We all stood open mouthed as the sky was lit up in all shades of the rainbow, showering down like enormous sparkling chandeliers. Fortunately the rain stayed away, and prevented a stampede of people clambering for cover. Tackling a jumpsuit in a porta-loo- probably not the smartest idea!

tribal meets utility.

Freshly fueled with a myriad of images encompassing the looks 'global traveler' 'urban sportswear' 'tribal' and 'utility chic' I seem to have made up a sort of utility tribal outfit that wraps the two styles together. Hopefully the result is something fun, and with a few adjustments could certainly work for both day or night.
