Miu Miu mania, some may say madness, was caused by the Spring/Summer collection, as the blogosphere was buzzing with DIY'S and heaps of creativity as we attempted to recreate the look. I took on a simple cat brooch, and a pair of swallow adorned gold wedges, which recieved the most page views of all time.
Now Miuccia is back for the Autumn/Winter with some of the most lust worthy pieces once more. I absolutely adore the shot of Hanneli in her vintage print trousers and mint green collar, and the endless editorials filled with pieces from the collection. I also can't get enough of the square toed shoes complete with bows and metal flowers ...( kind of wish more had higher heels), felted structural dresses, and of course the bow neck collars.
So good news....the navy blue miu miu collar in the previous post is actually my latest D.I.Y project .... I have been super excited about sharing it with you.
The hardest part was choosing 1. the right material 2. what colour to make 3. working out which style/size to make each component. I admit it took about 6 hours, concentration, and much patience... but I am a stupid perfectionist when it comes to sewing. Here goes......
taaaaa dahhhhh.... the completed article. Katie.x Will you be attempting it?xxx

sneak peek.
Details of the upcoming outfit post. Relaxing in Cafe Nero after a touch of shopping and photo taking.
You know it's Christmas when your boyfriend insists on some mint chocolate mocha, 2 packets of sugar...and cream. I'm easy to please/ a cheap date with a camomile tea, and a chocolate coin. The close up of shattered metal pieces is my latest statement necklace purchase from H&M , I couldnt believe it.... another triumph from the high street...Katie.x

Christmas just came early.
The release of the Mulberry Edie last week saw my bag cravings absolutely sky rocket......everything about it screamed my name, filled my dreams and pushed every other purchase/wish into insignificance.
Where to begin...beautiful gunmetal turn lock, really cool extra push-lock fastenings that were a HUGE bonus in ensuring minimal loss of contents when filled... awesome guitar style strap complete with roses and rabbits, and simple styling without the additional straps of the Alexa...AMAZING.
After a trip to Leeds VQ Mulberry at the weekend to find it was due the following week..the quest was on.
Wednesday turned out to be my lucky day, after a few phone calls I found that just 2 had arrived that morning ( hallelujah) and put it straight on hold. ( thankyou) Just had to pursuade my boyfriend to whizz over to Manchester with me before it was gone, and to decide which size to go for. I was initially thinking the large size, but the small one just looked so much more in proportion...... my mind was made up.
I am very very very over the moon with it....probably pretty obvious...
On another rabbit related note... went to see Vampire Weekend last night at the Empress Ballroom- they were Amazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzing!
Consiquently today I feel like crawling into a rabbit hole, possibly the best place for me.... Katie.x

miu miu swing.
Finally decided on the navy blue miu miu collar and paired it with this collarless swing coat, forever 21 polka dot mary janes, and Mulberry clutch for the much needed injection of colour.
I love the light captured in the photographs, and how it seems to put the clutch bag in the spotlight! Im sure you will be seeing lots of my beloved miu miu collar over the winter.

Kate Bosworth.
Kate Bosworth. Effortlessly stylish, and not afraid of taking risks. I love Kate's innocence and delicate features, her ability to work both simple combinations for daytime, and high polished glamour on the red carpet.
See a week in the style of Kate Bosworth featured in Grazia here.

all wrapped up.
Making the most of this time of year.
The things I love = the sound of leaves crunching at your feet, trees turning jewel shades, reaching for furs - this time, one of my beloved old lady hats, wrapping up in a new winter coat after searching for the perfect one, lemon and ginseng tea, driving in the dark, planning D.I.Y's for rainy afternoons, getting excited far too soon for my birthday and Christmas, hunting down local and continental outdoor markets.
What are your favourite things autumn brings? katie.x
