williamson park.

This weekend was the first chance of photos since returning from a holiday on Thursday morning. I spent the day at a beautiful park, butterfly house that was incredible, and visiting a true gem of an antiques centre.

I had been a little hesitant about visiting Lanzarote , but the hotel was pure paradise, and far exceeded my preconceptions. Balinese day beds complete with fresh linen sheets, mid morning fruit kebabs, afternoon tea and beautiful weather almost the whole time!

Swooning over fall fashions. Although I have been working out what to wear for spring and summer, I cant help but share my lusts, with a few unexpected favourites.

2010 in outfits.

Wishing you all a Happy New Year.
Thankyou for spending 2010 with me here on Fashionclocked.

Goodbye to one of my toughest years ever- fighting illness and never quite knowing what each month would bring. Im almost better- just continuing a battle with what has become ME and the insane tiredness, and frustration it brings.
Creating this post really brought home to me how far I have come, from such a fragile state to almost back to feeling like myself. Its unbelievable how writing a blog has given me focus, a sense of achievement and something to work towards each week. I cant thank you enough.
Sending good health, wealth, fortune and amazing purchases to all of you in 2011.

all wrapped up.

Making the most of this time of year.
The things I love = the sound of leaves crunching at your feet, trees turning jewel shades, reaching for furs - this time, one of my beloved old lady hats, wrapping up in a new winter coat after searching for the perfect one, lemon and ginseng tea, driving in the dark, planning D.I.Y's for rainy afternoons, getting excited far too soon for my birthday and Christmas, hunting down local and continental outdoor markets.
What are your favourite things autumn brings? katie.x

The full picture.

After a sneak peak on Monday, here is the full outfit. The trousers/jodphurs are from Uterque, made of wool, and fight the cold like a bitch. They fit like an absolute dream, are beautiful quality, very long in the leg and well worth the pennies...Although I only own a few pieces from there, I count it as one of my 'must visits' whenever in the vicinity of a store. ( somehow seems more special as we don't have one in the Uk.) I adore the place, the atmosphere, layout, simplicity..and the beautiful male staff are always a bonus...
As for the fur snood It was an impulsive Asos buy months ago that I haven't got round to wearing. why do we do that?  Katie.x

up close.

Some detail shots from my latest outfit.( call back wednesday afternoon for the full post) I finally got round to doing justice to some of my basic accessories. Both the ear pieces and armour cuff are things I have been wearing virtually everyday since late September, and just realised that I haven't exactly shown them off to their full potential ( always hair/ cuffs/ coats covering both!)  I find that I am repeatedly drawn to the most simple pieces, With the exception of my latest mawi necklace (that is actually a Christmas present..shhhh)

It was Remembrance Sunday yesterday, and the words inside this particular poppy wreath really touched me. It's good to remain grounded and appreciate what we have, and what others have done and do for us. Katie.x

autumn treasure.

I couldn't resist shooting some close ups of the beautiful Mawi necklace seen in the previous post. The chain and bow clasp detail are rose gold plaited, and the droplets are silver. It seemed to perfectly compliment the rich colours of autumn and the fallen apples from a tree.... playing with the idea of 'accessorising nature'. Katie.xx

aztec.

Almost head to toe in asos... got to love their site this a/w, probably not the only one to notice how their styling has improved so much lately? If you haven't already I would click to view their ASOS white, and ASOS black just launched capsule collections.
.... On a not so hot note, I have been having a nightmare with their delivery services. I opted for 'stylesaver' and the result- some of my order was canceled. ( even though my items were ordered as soon as they arrived on site )With my next order I selected next day delivery ( paid £5.99 for the service ) the item showed up 3 days later!)I also have my eye on a coat which keeps showing 'out of stock'..... fingers crossed they restock.
The plus side- I reallllly love the things that did show up.(these boots and blanket style wrap )

(wearing- aztec wrap- asos, tee- asos, skirt-henry holland, asos leather boots (remind me of the acne pistol booties, cicrca leather weekend bag)
