After drooling over, dreaming about and counting my pennies...(this took a long while), i decided the Alexander Wang Diego bag would be very happy in a new home..with me. The only problem... i had set my heart on the black and navy suede version (even more awesome than the other colour options!) - only to find it was SOLD OUT everywhere.
I began trawling internet sites here in the UK, and also in the US, sending various emails, and meanwhile keeping my fingers crossed. I was delighted to locate what must be one of the last around.
A knock at the door this morning ... Alexander had arrived. Wow. I am so thrilled. Worth every saved penny.( i have been extremely ill hence the reason for starting the blog, and now im getting much better, a perfect reward!)
It is absolutely incredible. I love the navy and black combination, and the perfect balance of beautiful leathers and chunky studs. I also love how it works with pretty much my entire wardrobe...

wonders in the woods. Topshop Unique.
Topshop Unique's a/w 10 collection succeeded in an almighty way with a flurry of furry clad models. Some animal meets human metamorphosis had most certainly taken place. In this case Wonders definately emerged from the woods. I have the urge to to be a part of the collection- looks fun. Also hoping a particular navy/black duffel/lambskin coat will be available this Autumn. ( 4 th from the left-crosses fingers )loved the shearling and satchel bags, cable knit thigh high socks, wolf print and leather harness over blazer detailing.
Emma Cook's headwear reminded me of Liberty's window display years ago, where models were merged with ravens, rams, and deer executed with exotic headresses and hairpieces.( so wish i had the photos! )Collage by me.

Fast forward to fur
Returned from an awesome much needed trip away to the delights of New York and London a/w 2010. In love with so much of what i view- each day is such a visual treat. Barcelona was freezing, and i must say dripping with the most breath-taking fur coats, a streetstyle photographers paradise. One of my very favourite cities, starting to feel like a second home....
The perfect remedy to fuel my autumn winter desires.
WOW. Autumn Winter 2010/11 so many fur filled creations. I am a huge fan. Those featured - Vena Cava, Doo Ri, J.Mendel, Irina shabayeva- incredible winner of project runway- see feather print lined fur. I feel so spoilt with such incredible clothes. The current climate is well suited!..let's say im getting a head start on autumn winter 2010 ... forgive me.

From Chloe and Celine to Alexander Mcqueen.
Such stark contrasts in collections could be seen on the S/S 10 Rtw catwalks.
A predominantly nude colour choice at Chloe, Celine and Alexander Wang. With outlandish brights the focus at Proenza Schlouer, and Alexander McQueen.
Hannah MacGibbon at Chloe offered a boyish, partly oversized, colourless palette of beige and neutral shades. Personally it failed to inspire me.
Phoebe Philo at Celine opted for a paired down minimalist assortment in natural tones & cut leathers, with raw wood wedges, and simple scooped back hair.
A clean cut way of dressing, and a breath of fresh air for the runway.
Alexander Wang provided a sport inspired utilitarian selection. Comprised of both bodycon, and oversized pieces in khaki, grey, tan and white. All paired with knee high socks, and open-toed shoes. A personal highlight- oversized messed up fish tail plaits. (I have already been experimenting with!
I have been tracking down the navy and black Alexander Wang diego....fingers crossed.
Acid brights were injected at Proenza Schlouer, adding a sharp sting into an otherwise relaxed surf theme.
While Alexander McQueens oustanding 'Plato's Atlantis' inspired collection featured bold colours, intricate digital patterns, incredible silhouttes, created with folded fabrics, not to mention the highly coveted 12 inch heeled shoes from another life form.
The creations transformed the models into breath-taking reptilian-like species.
I personally feel one of the most outstanding collections i have ever witnessed.

The princess and the plait.
How inspirational and incredible is this new Hermes advert?! Heavenly. They never fail to create the most divine selection of silk scarfs. The threaded plait is sensational. This really is the princess and the pea fairytale.

Prominant at Alexander Wang, Miu Miu, Missoni and even at Alexander McQueen. Plaited hair is surely set to be the hottest hairstyle this Spring. Personally i cant get enough of the rapunzel - length side plaits at Miu Miu, or Alexander Wangs messed up scrunchy, chunky, textural verions. Im not convinced i could plait like Missoni! ( for those of us with long locks- we are in luck!)
Do you have a favourite or have you already been styling yours this way?
