Balloons balloons.

Searching through magazines, old editorials, and blogs I noticed a trend of balloons as a prop! They always look brilliant, and add a real sense of fun! 
I came across editorials featuring balloons of Kate Moss and Coco Rocha from Vogue Nippon Aug 08, Audrey Hepburn from 1957 Funny face, and the infamous Christian Dior perfume advert for ' Miss Dior Cherie'- all of which are sensational. 


While in Barcelona I captured a bunch of balloons blowing in the wind that looked so vivid against the bright blue sky.

Out for a spot of shopping I fell in love with this mannequin in Selfridges holding a ton of shiny red balloons looking so fabulous.

    i've noticed that too! i think it's because balloons are associated with fun, cheerful things and spring is all about that. everything blossoms up and you find your inner child. or the advertisers hope so :D

    So funny when I was on my lunch break Friday a man walked past me selling foil hellium balloons and I thought that would make a great blog picture.

    My main memory of balloons is SJP in Sex and the City in the cute pink dress. I can see what your next outfit post will be.

    Miss Dior Cherie is one of my favorite perfumes! I think balloons are a wonderful touch to some editorials..they are just so playful and fun...what's not to love??

    Thanks for your latest comment, I have too say that I'm very happy with every single thing I found! The hand harness things were all over in Antwerp, I think we'll have them here in the Netherlands too.. If you can't find them over there I could buy it for you and ship it? Let me know!
